Matt's Script Archive has been awarded site of the day/week/etc.. in many places. Many of my scripts have appeared in magazines and books. This page focuses on where Matt's Script Archive has been recognized, what is was recognized for and when it was recognized.


On April 18th, 1996, Matt's Script Archive was awarded Cheesy Site of the Day. My first reaction was, WHAT?! Cheesy? But I checked out the page, and they go on to explain that CheeseWorthy brings a new definition to the word Cheesy. A Cheesy site is cool, special, smart, amazing, wonderful, brilliant, and whole lot more.
Matt's Script Archive was awarded Web Site of the Week, for the week of April 7 - 13, by the staff at Falcon Interactive who choose a creative, interesting, unique and/or useful web site every week.
Several months ago I wrote a few chapters for a book entitled "Developing CGI Applications with Perl". I explain how my scripts work and how to modify them, although many of them are older than the current versions available.

The scripts found at Matt's Script Archive were placed on the CD-ROM shipped with the book "Teach Yourself CGI Programming with Perl in a Week" written by Eric Herrmann.

Iway Magazine's 1st Annual 500 Best Sites on the Web listing and ratings gave Matt's Script Archive a 20th place award out of 25 in it's category: Shareware and Downloadable Goodies, based on content, navigation, design, accuracy and accessibility. The synopsis can be found on p. 69 of the spring 1996 special issue.
Matt's Script Archive was given a 4 Star Rating, "Outstanding in its field. A must-see if you're interested in the topic at hand." in the March, 1996 issue of NetGuide. The review can be found on page 105 of that issue.
Lee Becker, one of my high school friends, wrote to PC Computing after he felt that I had been unfairly left off of the 1,001 Best Web Sites. His letter to the editor appeared in the March Issue.
Matt's Script Archive and the Bulletin Board System for the World Wide Web (Version 1.0) were featured in February, 1996's issue of Boardwatch Magazine. The story, entitled "Creating a Web BBS," can be found on page 48 of that issue.
On October 23, Matt's Script Archive was chosen as the CooLynx of the Day.
